Award PowerBIOS is a version of AwardBIOS introduced in 1994 and developed until around 1996. It was intended for use on embedded systems and is therefore uncommon, with only a few systems being known to use it.
Despite being released after EliteBIOS, it is not its direct successor. Instead, it only succeeded it for the aforementioned embedded systems. In fact, even for these systems, it hardly became a successor, as only a few vendors switched to it while the majority continued using EliteBIOS.
PowerBIOS, along with EliteBIOS, was succeeded by AwardBIOS v6.00PG in 1998.
