PhoenixBIOS is a Personal Computer BIOS developed by Phoenix Technologies from 1983 to early-2010s when it was mostly replaced by Phoenix's UEFI solution, SecureCore.
PhoenixBIOS is the first fully IBM PC compatible personal computer BIOS that was licensed for multiple system manufacturers and is the starter of competition between major BIOS vendors that came up with their compatible BIOS solutions in later years (such as American Megatrends's AMIBIOS and Award Software's AwardBIOS).
